Pappy clambered up onto a megalith at the famous alignements de Carnac, in Bretagne. Valerie was with us, that day, probably on the way to or from that December district conference in Rennes. Some danger of confusing these shots with those from a visit Mammy and Pappy made a year or so earlier, but you’ll forgive a bit of uncertainty, won’t you? |

These big stones are called menhirs (a Breton word, not French). Aficionados of Astérix le Gaulois will recognize their delivery as the occupation of the massive Obélix. |
