To achieve election to membership in the Massachusetts and General Societies of Mayflower Descendants, I had to complete a three-page application, documenting to the Society’s satisfaction each relationship in my Rogers descent. For that and a hundred-dollar fee I now have the privilege of annual membership (dues $40 per annum), and some really distinguished publications. And this certificate. And some very interesting distant cousins with whom to enjoy semi-annual dinner meetings. Until retirement in 2019, I served for a decade as secretary of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Utah.
