Daniel and Rebecca Smith Hurd |
Berkshire County land records reveal that Grandpa Daniel purchased land in Beech Plain, in the northeast corner of Sandisfield. In the middle of the War, 4 September 1778, he paid ten pounds, ten shillings to Phinehas Kingsbury, Jr., for a lot whose size the deed1 doesn’t specify. The next entry2 in the book of deeds documents his purchase of another item from Jonathan Robbins of Wethersfield, Connecticut; I’m still looking into the location and extent of this lot. |
