Cellar Hole on Wheeler Lane |
Wheeler Lane ends at conservation land and a hiking trail along a local stream named Nashoba Brook. On the right, at the end of the road, is this cellar hole. No particular reason to believe this house belonged to any of our folks. |
Another view of the cellar hole, with a cameo role for my faithful steed, Hepzibah, at left.
Depending on where you live, you may never have seen a fieldstone foundation. They were standard around here until fairly recently. Our Timbaloo, built 1907, has one. |
