Carlisle Road, Acton |
|
Main Street in Acton is Route 27, a busy state highway. Off to the left, it proceeds north and east to Carlisle Station and
Chelmsford.
The green sign, which you can’t read, identifies the beginning of the Carlisle Road. About a half mile up the road, we come to North Street and the old North Cemetery.
East and a bit north along Carlisle Road, not far from its Acton end, this handsome farm apparently still belongs to the Heald family, as in pioneer days. Nice neighborhood our Acton forebears inhabited, wouldn’t you agree? |
