Note in this inscription on the “This Is The Place” monument that little Lorenzo Sobieski Young is identified as the son of both his parents. Even though Persis Goodall,
his mother, had divorced Dow, apparently over the issue of plural marriage. Rather similarly to the manner in which Perry’s folks had split, at about the same time…
Whereas only one parent is listed for Isaac Perry Decker. Why don’t they want to credit, or even mention, Isaac, Senior? The monument in Pioneer Park follows the same discriminatory formula. |
