retired, the General Society presented her with an award for meritorious service. The Utah Society gave me a similar recognition in 2021.
Fern used to say that, wherever she went, she was always the oldest and shortest person present. Until her death at age 103, Fern hosted the meetings of our Board of Assistants at her home, just a couple of blocks from my Mammy’s birthplace in East Mill Creek. |
