Favorite images of some of my principal treasures, disporting themselves on the margins of the historic island in Boston Harbor,
in August.

They showed us around Fort Warren (next page), named after the great Revolutionary patriot Dr Joseph, who died at Bunker Hill. The Army operated it through the Civil War, but I seem to recall that its guns were never fired in anger. They imprisoned the Vice President of the Confederacy here. A fun visit; we came more than once.
