The lowbush blueberries in the Middlesex Fells Reservation ripened in July, I think. These shots don’t really do justice to the way the berries harmonized with our Cyndi’s eyes… Her mother called her “Tootsie-Pop;” the closest she could come, back then, was “Ninny Be-bop.”
