Appendix: Loches |
The history of this beautiful area goes back past the scandals of the 15th century, past the Plantagenet battles of the 12th and 13th, and even past the incumbency of our Foulques ancestors of Anjou around the 9th. These impressive supports remain from a Gallo-Roman aqueduct, dating from the first or second centuries A. D.
Farther that that, of course. But these were the oldest artifacts they pointed out to us. |
