Mammy, with members and missionaries in Limoges
In company with Périgueux (where Valerie and I never did visit, as far as I recall), Limoges was always one of the smaller, more struggling southern branches, at least as far back as the time of my first mission1. The folks included Limoges on their itinerary for 15-16 June, 1968; I believe the accident aborted their visit.

The folks left numerous photos and other evidence of their visits. Not sure what occasion generated this photo, but Pappy left several shots (that I’ve already inserted) in front of the Limoges police station, including one of Pappy and me with the Limoges missionaries, and also the “Bombinette” picture, where they resemble proud parents beside the new Citroën.2 And later, the same missionaries performing with guitars at a district conference in Bordeaux. Pappy also captured the Bordeaux District officers on a visit to Limoges.
1Lowell Hawkes labored there, de mon vivant.    2Nowadays, we see that one with a pang.
