They were a loving group, Pappy’s missionaries; forty-plus years later, many of them will still tell you so. When we came at Christmas in 1967, his assistants were Elders Jeff Winston and Tom Rosenberg; by the time we returned, seven months later, they had gone home, replaced by Mitt Romney and Bill Ryan.
