The first European Temple competes with other sources of whiteness, in the background, as our party of wandering missionary types poses in wintry sunshine. Brent will, I’m sure, put names to his companions’ faces.
Temple president Walter Trauffer very kindly pulled together a proxy sealing session for us, with the participation of several local people of varying language backgrounds—I seem to remember French, German, Dutch and English. In officiating, he addressed each of us in turn, each in our own tongue. Impressive and impeccable. As before, we enjoyed the hospitality of (non-member) neighborhood bed-and-breakfast facilities. Great beds; incomparable cherry jam with our morning hot chocolate. |
