Yesterday, Elders Breillatt [70] and Bennion and I went to show the Leroys “The Stick
of Joseph,” with a new recording of the explanatory dialogue and with music from “Ben-Hur.” We’re expecting some baptisms from this family, this week.
I really doubt they’ll make me a senior companion, next week. Even if I’m ready–which isn’t certain at all–they have to take account of the mission’s needs; it’s unlikely that they’ll make a senior companion out of a “green” missionary with only two months of experience. I do wonder who’s going to come to Rennes next. Elder Higley’s time is nearly up.

12-26 We ate too much, yesterday, and so we’re going to suffer. After our restaurant dinner (Portuguese oysters, snails [I meant de Bourgogne, but I probably didn’t know that then], curried chicken, Yule Log cake). Sister Delétang then made us another Yule Log cake, and Sister Dumont baked two big apple cakes. All delicious, but too much for one day.
