daughter is going to pull her through, I’m sure. Soeur Trumier is showing more and more a sweet, radiant, wonderful personality. She was sweet from the first, of course, but the Gospel has given her such joy and peace of mind that it’s really remarkable what a transformation has come over her.
Having a rough time locating a place to baptize Mme. Menais. She has heart trouble and shouldn’t travel to Nantes, but suitable places are awfully scarce around here. We’ll see what happens; the Lord will provide the necessary means for the accomplishment of His will.
Talked a while longer with Mlle Leclerc when we went to return her slides. She’s an intelligent person, and the branch here could well do with a few like her.
Soeur Delétang is in low spirits. Seems that one of her daughters, Solange, is in Paris and has somesort of progressive paralysis working on her. We prayed with her and she seemed to feel better. She’s certainly a wonderful person. A terrific lot of motherliness in that woman: she’s raised eight of her own and is now raising six missionaries. Sweet, she is.
[25] 11-5 Baptism postponed because of mechanical difficulties, a conference with of supervising elders, and the arrival home of Mme. Menais’ husband. We’re going out there this afternoon for rescheduling purposes and in order to talk with the old man and determine whether he’s also a prospective Mormon. |
