That looks like an anchor on the cap. That would make the baggy outdoor outfit something nautical, I suppose. My first thought ran more along the lines of The Littlest Bolshevik, but that would be far afield from Pappy’s lifelong politics. Can’t say I ever heard Mammy hold forth on the subject, but Pappy made sure those around him knew where he stood.
