Block 160 |
Isaac Decker was a tenant in Nauvoo’s Block 160, bounded by Lumber, Durphy, and Wells Streets and by the Mississippi River. The block is long gone, with any structures it may have accommodated, but it was located in this vicinity.

The gravel road in the foreground is the southern end of Durphy. The river is barely visible in the background, through the trees. In the middle of the picture is the “Stone Arched Bridge”. To the left, over the bridge, you can glimpse an information kiosk that greets visitors at the south end of town; also just a curve of the main highway, which merges with Durphy a hundred yards to the rear. |
