Our family’s friendship with the family of
Bruce and Alta Ellis has been another durable blessing. We used to go to their home in La Habra for a fair proportion of our New Year’s Day festivities. It’s easy to recognize Alta here, even if you’ve seen her only in the folks’ 1936 wedding-present photo. DeAnne, standing with the big smile, looks a lot happier to be with us on this occasion than if it was indeed she, then.
