back Friends Still: Florence and Myrle next


Some nice things just keep on giving. Leola’s childhood chum, Myrle Roberts, is still her bosom friend here, decades later, under a manzanita bush.

And in case you’re wondering what became of the third member of this adventuresome trio (triumulierate?), that’s Florence, hanging onto a dead branch just left of center, in the sylvan group below. At least some of the others are her kids. That may be Doug in the orange shirt. Myrle never married.

Leola, by the way, was partial to the mountains and disliked the beach. We deliberately omit the few beach shots we have of her. We suspect she’s glad. For Duane, the preference went in the other direction.
