The Rays |
According to Richard Munroe*, Cousin (3C5R) Clarissa Ann Munroe, eldest of David’s and Asenath’s three daughters, married Jonathan Ray, Jr., on Christmas Day 1845, apparently in a double wedding ceremony with her sister Mary Jane.
The Rays settled on Clarissa’s parents’ homestead in Hillsborough and produced two sons and twin daughters. None named Ruth, which leaves a trifle mysterious the identity of “Little Ruth,” who seems to have been grouped lovingly and poignantly with them. |
