Reaffirmation and (gasp!) Appeal

Come January, Bacon loses again. His bill has grown by another nine shillings sixpence. No evidence that he’s yet ponied up penny one.

So does he knuckle under? Not he: he appeals immediately over Danforth’s head to a jury trial at the April sitting of the Middlesex County Court.
