…Which brought to mind a major character in “Patience,” by the great Gilbert and Sullivan. I refer, of course, collectively, to the British House of Lords. Who, when moving on or off stage, did so in a manner which they described as “Dignified and stately.” They would sing,
“Bow, bow, ye lower middle clawsses!
Bow, bow, ye tradesmen, bow, ye masses!
Blow the trumpets!
Clang the brawsses!
Tan-tan-ta-ra! Tzing! Boom!
So, with the aid of another modern device (this one named MeiKuo), I printed onto clear adhesive the new name of my trusty Acorn, then stuck it thereon, prominently.
