Bethany & Declan
Beth Bethany and Declan chose the very beautiful and nearly brand-new Payson Temple for their sealing on August 8. Valerie and I had never seen it, and so we went down (into Utah County, south of Provo) as patrons, just to get acquainted. The temple workers who showed us around seemed just a bit embarrassed by the loveliness of the facility: one opined that the Church wouldn’t be spending that much on any later ones. Well, we’ll see: skimping is by no means the order of the day, when it comes to the House of the Lord.
Since I hadn’t been an “active sealer” for three years, and in view of encroaching senile dysnomia, I didn’t trust myself to deliver the customary counsels without the support of written notes. This time, I formatted the notes up, printed them, and gave the happy couple a copy. They (the notes) follow, on the next three pages. Beth
