Cattaraugus Follow-up: Hyde
Heman and Eunice became parents to three children:

1. Daughter Mary Ann Tilton Hyde, born in 1837 in Kirtland, Ohio, married William Henry Jackson in 1863 and became the mother of three children before her death in 1871 in Freedom, New York.

2. Son Heman Tilton Hyde, born in 1840, at Payson, Illinois, died as a soldier in the Civil War, May 3, 1863, at 6 o’clock in the morning on the battlefield in a rifle pit, Fredericksburg, Virginia.

3. Martha Caroline Hyde, was born six months after the death of her father, in December 1842 at Payson, Illinois. She died in September 1846, before her fourth birthday, at Council Point, Iowa.
