The Barrel explains itself. The “Bean” (actually a sort of gourd) grew on a vine that climbed a tree in Bob’s front yard. About a foot and a half long. He’d painted it for the Fourth of July. |

The Purple Cow, Alexandria’s sole surviving eating establishment, has the Mississippi at her back. They say you can get a pretty good steak there, though most folks come to drink. |
