Evolving mobility |
Rick smiled. He declined to crawl. He sat with mechanical help. He sat unassisted. He stood. He walked. In due time, as Pappy would say, he talked. And we rejoiced over all these developmental miracles and photographed them as if they were happening for the first time in this or any other universe. If we ever noticed that his evolving mobility came with increments to our inconvenience, we certainly never brooded over it. We rejoiced in his health and normal development. And of course no child had ever been so cute. What strange creatures are new parents! |
