She looks a bit distressed. Probably at me, for my temerity in shutterbugging her without sufficient warning. Her unaccountable modesty cost me a lot of candid shots of great potential beauty and artistry. Chris and Justin seem to have inherited her dislike for the shutterbugging ambush.

She wouldn’t be unhappy about Rick’s slumbering grip on her index finger…

This may be our only shot of Brigitte’s interior. Hardly enough to make it clear that Renaults in the 1960s were pretty much bare-bones vehicles. This one served us well, until the summer of 1968.
I call this Madonna-and-Child my “glammah-puss” shot, as I think Pappy may also have denominated it. It’s a favorite of mine. Not of hers.
