Alma 5:57–When will the great excommunication predicted here take place? Just now, there are lots of hypocrites and even apostates whose names remain written in the Church records. But we’ll see a great weeding in the Church, and many of those who have already been spiritually dead for years will become dead to the books as well, that is, their names will be blotted out, as it is written.
12-15 Alma was an “Elias.” See the entire Chapter 7, especially Verse 9, to see this. It seems that we are likewise Eliases today, when we preach the Gospel and call people to repent. For don’t we also prepare [60] the way of the Lord? And in these days, aren’t we the last Elias that this world will ever have?
12-16 Today we had a tape recorder, and each of us made a tape-letter for our family for Christmas.
