Ransom According to his tombstone here depicted, Cousin (3C5R) Ransom Munroe lived only a year and a half as the firstborn of Dr. Joseph’s and Azubah’s son Elijah, by his wife Aris Bixby. Not much ambiguity there.

The normally reliable Richard Munroe, however, makes no mention whatever of Ransom, but has Aris giving birth to their Rebecca on 13 Aug 1819. Not likely, if Ransom had arrived the preceding March. Either a story here, or some confusion, or perhaps both.
Cousin Richard also shows Elijah and Aris spelling the family name as “Monroe.” Not a big deal, but one notices it in the context of other discrepancies.
