Captain William Russell (1686-1731) |
Here’s our first cousin (10R) Captain William Russell “of Cambridge Farms ” (later Lexington). He and
his wife Mary (per gravestone; some
sources1
call her “Elizabeth”) lie near his parents,
Philip and Iohana, in the
Old Lexington Burial Ground.
Paige1 says that he “…res. at the Farms, and had a deed of the homestead 1722 (subject to the life estate of his father), which he conveyed to his son Nathaniel….” 1e.g., Lucius R. Paige, History of Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1630-1877 (Boston: H.O.Houghton and Company, 1877), p. 648. |
