15GGF Robert Tailboys, 8th Lord Kyme and Sheriff of Lincolnshire, was born c.1451 in Kyme, Lincolnshire, England, son of 16GGP Sir William Tailboys, 7th Lord Kyme, and Elizabeth Bonville. He married 15GGM Elizabeth Heron, daughter of Sir John Heron and Elizabeth Heron “of Symondbourne Castle and Cornhall,” and they had three children, the last being 14GGM Maud Tailboys who married 14GGF Robert Tyrwhit (c. 1482-1548), son of William Tyrwhit and Anne Constable.
Note in passing that Grandpa Robert is the first male in this Plantagenet blood descent in the 180 years and eight generations since 22nd Great Grandma Princess Joan of Acre. Also, curiously, that four of our seven Grandmas in that interval were named Margaret—reminiscently of the three Queens Eleanor in the four generations between Edward I and Henry II. No significance: just a curiosity.

14GGM Maud Tailboys, born 1477 in Goulton, Kyme, Lincolnshire, England, daughter of 15GGP Robert Tailboys and Elizabeth Heron. She married 14GGF Robert Tyrwhit, son of William Tyrwhit and Anne Constable. They had nine children, the last being 13GGM Katherine Tyrwhit who married 13GGF Richard Thimbleby (c.1507-1590), son of John Thimbleby and Margaret (Boys) Thimbleby.
Katherine Tyrwhit (1511 - )
13GGM Katherine Tyrwhit, born 1511 in Kettleby, Lincolnshire, England, daughter of 14GGP Robert Tyrwhit and Maud Tailboys. She married 13GGF Richard Thimbleby, son of John Thimbleby and Margaret Boys. The firstborn of their two children was 12GGM Elizabeth Thimbleby who married 12GGF Thomas Welby.
Elizabeth Thimbleby (bef.1535 - aft.1571 )
12GGM Elizabeth Thimbleby, born before 1535 in England, daughter of 13GGP Richard Thimbleby and Katherine Tyrwhit. She married 12GGF Thomas Welby “of Moulton”, son of Thomas Welby and Catherine Bray. The lastborn of their three children was 11GGF Richard Welby who married 11GGM Frances Bulkeley.
