Seeing where they lived, it’s not hard to understand how each in some sense arguably a Carlisle boy, are both known to history as “Oliver Wheeler of Acton.” The language does make for some confusion. It seems clear now, by the way, that it was (at least mainly) Oliver II who took part in the Lexington-Concord Alarm.
