Mayflower |
It’s 2020 now, and I’ve only recently retired as Secretary of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Utah, after a decade in that position. Several times, they’ve put pressure on me to become Governor of that Society, but I’ve refused. Stoutly. I do cherish my
Mayflower heritage, but my “Cousins” in the Society just don’t understand that I’m at least equally excited about several other ancestral lines. My Plantagenets, for example. And my Utah,
American Revolution, and other colonial New England linkages.
Preparing this section, entitled “MayflowerDescendants,” started me off in a number of these diverse directions. On November 11, 2008, the 388th anniversary of the signing of the Mayflower Compact, I published the section’s generic PDF version; it’s embedded here: |
